You'll struggle to find time to do everything you want to during your stay at the Lighthouse, whether you are looking for a family holiday, a retreat from the modern world or highland adventures. Activities available locally include; golf, sea and fly fishing, pony-trekking, walking, climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding,  whale watching, sailing and falconry.  A handful of suggestions and links are provided below

From the Lighthouse you can walk across to the Flowerdale estate and visit the arboretum or walk up to the dramatic Flowerdale waterfall, and a short drive away are the famous gardens of Inverewe.

Above all there are any number of beaches, paths and mountains to explore in some of Europe's most unspoilt country. The house is equipped with guidebooks, maps and books on flora and fauna (as well as a selection of fiction and non-fiction).

Guests are provided, on receipt of a booking, with a detailed handbook for the house and area so that restaurants and activities can be booked in advance.

A few suggestions are set out below

"Gairloch is a beautiful place to stay. We spent time on the beach, canoed on Loch Maree and climbed at the nearby Loch Tollaidh crags. The property also has a boot room which is great for leaving all the dirty gear in at the end of the day."                 5/5 Review  Roddy G.  August2018
